At 2nd Right Firearms Training we believe that you have the inherent right to defend and protect yourself and your loved ones. We also believe you should have access to the knowledge and training to be able to effectively do so. Check out our Basic Louisiana Concealed Carry Course and our Advanced Carry Course below.

About Us
2nd Right Firearms Training, LLC is based in The Dubach, LA area. We will provide only the highest quality instruction based on real world experience and expertise. Our lead instructor has over 10 years of law enforcement and SWAT experience, is a Louisiana POST firearms instructor, holds a myriad of other firearms related instructor certificates, and is an Iraq veteran. 2nd Right Firearms Training is dedicated to giving people the knowledge and skills needed to protect themselves, their loved ones, and their homes.
Available Courses
In both our Louisiana Basic Concealed Carry Course and our Advanced Carry course instruction will be geared towards your level of knowledge and experience. Classroom instruction as well as range drills will always be conducted by a qualified firearms instructor approved by the State of Louisiana.
Louisiana Basic Concealed Carry Course - $125
This course satisfies the requirements of the State of Louisiana to apply for a concealed handgun permit. It's 10 hours of instruction includes classroom time covering: handgun nomenclature, safe handling procedures for semi-auto pistols as well as revolvers, ammunition knowledge, fundamentals of pistol shooting, the use of deadly force, conflict resolution, an overview of related Louisiana statutes, shooting positions, child access prevention, and range time. There will be a 1 hour lunch break. Courses will typically begin at 8 AM and end at 6 PM.

Fingerprinting will be provided during the class session. Cost includes the fingerprinting and range fee.

Advanced Carry Course - $100
Our Louisiana Basic Concealed Carry Course is a pre-requisite to the advanced Carry course. While the basic course will give you the tools you need to be able to apply for a concealed handgun permit, it mainly focuses on meeting the requirements of the State of Louisiana. When it comes to acquiring the knowledge and training needed to be able to protect yourself or a loved one from an actual deadly force encounter, our Advanced Carry Course is where you'll want to be. Instruction will contain a review of related Louisiana Statutes and Supreme Court case decisions related to self defense. Range instruction will include fundamentals of the draw, shooting fundamentals, reload fundamentals, moving and shooting, appropriate use of cover, as well as more advanced gunfighting drills. This is a 10 hour course with a 1 hour lunch break. All instruction will take place on the range. This course will typically begin at 8 AM and end at 6 PM.

Louisiana Concealed Carry Recertification - $75
This course will satisfy the requirements of the State of Louisiana to renew your concealed handgun permit. This will be a 6 hour course. It will typically begin at 8 AM and end at 2 PM.

Private Classes
Private classes available upon request. Great for families, friend groups, or businesses. Our instructors will come to you as long as there are enough students to fill the class. If not within driving distance of our range, it will be up to the host to provide a safe place to shoot. All prices remain the same. Major discounts available for the host, dependent upon the class size.
